The
New York State Urological Society, NYSUS, is a specialty medical
society comprised of Urologists in New York State who are dedicated
to the continual improvement of clinical care, patient satisfaction
and patient access through education and cohesive action of its
members.
The mission of the Society shall be to study and evaluate the economic aspects of the specialty of urology and to represent the Urologists of New York State at all levels of government and for all socioeconomic matters required thus promoting the ethical practice of Urology in the best interests of the public and medical profession with continual improvement of professional standards. In addition, the mission will include advising concerned professional groups regarding matters related to Urology.

Congress has returned to Washington for a brief, lame-duck session before adjourning for the year. Physician payments are set to be cut 23 percent by Dec. 1 and an additional 1.9 percent on Jan. 1. Please call your members of Congress and tell them to fix the sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula before Nov. 30.
